DISH, Southwest Airlines Provide Free WiFi TV
Jul 03 2013 06:44 pm CET

Air travel got a little more pleasant this week thanks to a new collaboration between DISH Network and Southwest Airlines. iOS users will be able to access free live and on-demand TV on flights with WiFi service.

TV Flies Free is an app that will grant access to 75 on-demand programs and live streams. The service will be available on 400 SWA WiFi-enabled flights and currently does not require users to be DISH customers. Channels include Bravo, HGTV, Fox News, and sports networks.

Unfortunately, this service will be free for a limited time. The regular price will be $5. However, being able to watch on your tablet, cell phone (in airplane mode), or another wifi-enabled device is rather handy.
