Jeopardy! Seeking Tournament of Champions Alumni
May 20 2013 08:12 pm CET

During the commercial break prior to Final Jeopardy on Monday's episode of Jeopardy!, the show announced it is looking for alumni from all previous Tournaments of Champions.

According to the ad, narrated by Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek, there have been only 360 contestants who have competed in the (almost) annual two-week extravaganza. The ad asked for those alumni to visit the show's website to update their contact information.

The ad ended with the following: "Jeopardy may have plans for you." Could there be an ultimate Tournament of Champions in the works? The show will be celebrating its 30th year on the air next year, so this kind of event would be perfect.

The show last held an Ultimate Tournament of Champions in 2005, when Brad Rutter defeated Jerome Vered and Ken Jennings. That tournament featured 145 contestants and ran for 76 episodes.
