Eurovision Song Contest 2013 Entry: Hungary - ByeAlex - Kedvesem

Hungary will compete in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Kedvesem" by ByeAlex. That should probably read "bye bye, Alex," as the droning track will probably not make much of an impression in Malmo. Sorry, Hungary.
Title: "Kedvesem" (My Darling)
Semi-Final: Second, Position 12
Last year's entry/position: "Sound of Our Hearts" - Compact Disco (Rank)
Hungary has placed itself in a tough spot with the song "Kedvesem" by ByeAlex. The country barely got into the final last year and squandered its position as an early favorite in 2011 with an underwhelming stage performance. This track may continue the downward trend:
It should be noted the original version of the song did not include the percussion: it was just vocals, guitar, and the whistle sound effect. I'm not a fan of the whisper-style of singing in general, and the lack of rise and fall throughout the song doesn't help either.
Hungary's position in the running order will not provide any sort of boost either. This song follows Armenia, which is likely to overshadow "Kedvesem" in terms of energy and performance. In Position 13 is Norway's entry, which is one of the favorites to win the entire Contest.
I have no idea how this song won the Hungarian national selection. The stage performance was just Alex, a guitar player on a stool, a back up singer, and the above video playing on a screen at the back of the stage. If that's the performance we can expect in Malmö, expect this song to be the official bathroom break of the second semi-final.
