Anderson Cooper has options: Jeopardy, Today, Kathy Griffin

Although Anderson Cooper's daytime talk show will not be continuing, the CNN newsman apparently has several potential career moves in front of him.
Deadline reported on two rumors Tuesday. The first was that NBC has approached Cooper to be a potential replacement for Matt Lauer on the Today Show. Although Lauer's contract doesn't expire officially until next year, Lauer's image has taken a beating since the disgraceful exit of Ann Curry last summer. A New York Magazine exposé published Monday did not add any shine to that image.
The second rumor reported by Deadline was that Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin filmed a pilot for a possible talk and/or comedy show for CNN. The duo have worked together the last few years covering New Year's Eve to mixed reviews – those with senses of humor tend to enjoy it, others not so much. How this show would fit into CNN as it tries to restructure under Jeff Zucker remains to be seen. Also, there's no word as to how this may conflict with Griffin's talk show on Bravo.
Finally, Anderson Cooper has been named as a potential replacement for Alex Trebek, if and when he retires from Jeopardy!. Trebek's current contract ends next year and rumors have been circulating that he may be stepping away from the host podium, having been there since the show debuted in 1984. Cooper would be in competition with Matt Lauer (awkward), Brian Williams and Dan Patrick, just to name a few potential hosts.
