As the end of the year approaches, the end of the fall season approaches as well. Once Upon a Time, Revenge and The Walking Dead air their fall finales while Boardwalk Empire wraps its season. Here's what's on TV Sunday.

Tonight's big live event is the sixth annual CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute. The two hour gala honors regular people who do extraordinary work for social change. Helping out the honors on the celebrity front are Jane Lynch (Glee), Rico Rodriguez (Modern Family) and David Spade (Rules of Engagement) among many others. Anderson Cooper hosts the pre-show beginning at 8pm followed by the main show at 9pm.

Over on ABC, the Sunday night slate airs its winter finales tonight. On Once Upon a Time, the portal becomes more dangerous while Captain Hook and the Queen of Hearts stage a meeting. The fairy tale begins at 8pm. Then on Revenge, Nolan's past comes back to haunt him while Jack and Declan run into trouble as Carl's christening is figured out. The REVENNNNNNNGE begins at 9pm. And although Park Avenue 666 has been cancelled, tonight's episode is not the end as Whoopi Goldberg pays a visit. Catch what happens before the hiatus at 10pm.

Cable also has finales tonight. AMC's zombie drama The Walking Dead has its mid-season finale tonight at 9pm on AMC. Over on HBO, Boardwalk Empire finishes its third season with unlikely alliances and disruptions. The episode airs at 9pm followed by an instant repeat in case your DVR is overloaded.
