Survivor Philippines Season 25 Episode 6 Recap: Down and Dirty

Oct 24 2012 09:54 pm ET

Kalabaw returned in the middle of the night and hoped that they could win now. Katie knew she was on the bottom of the totem pole without any women on her side. She knew she was the weakest link and had to "work her magic," I'm hoping wouldn't be to use her breasts and instead use her head. In the morning Katie talked to Denise about assuming that Penner had the idol, she planted her seeds into Denise about trying to blindside him early.

Tandang woke up to Day 15 as the tribe worried about running out of rice. Mike was eating the rice raw and it upset Pete. Abi didn't think that making breakfast was the smartest idea with the supplies that they had. Artis was upset that Mike was becoming expendable.

The tribe arrived at their reward challenge and Malcolm had a secret smile as he realized Denise survived another week; I really hope the two can make a strong comeback after the merge. The challenge was a Three-on-Three big ball soccer-style game where the first team to make a goal would win. The winning tribe will have a food trip. Tandang sat out RC and Artis.

The first round began with Lisa/Pete/Skupin v. Penner/Carter/Denise. There was initial running as Pete tackled Carter, Lisa gripped Denise with as much force as and managed to trip her. Well, that's something Blair wouldn't have done. Denise was basically run over by the ball as Lisa tried to hold on. The whole thing was a muddy mess as Kalabaw had a very minor lead. Penner grabbed handles of the ball right under Skupin, as he decided to sit on Penner. Apparently Jeff deemed the moves as legal.

Eventually there was a minor break as not much happened. The rest of the tribe sat down as an hour passed. There was finally movement between Carter & Pete, but nothing happened. Skupin tried to haggle losing for rice. The tribe awkwardly waited as Artis tried to argue that he wanted to win. RC just smiled and looked on. Kalabaw decided to offer their rice for the win. Both Artis and Abi disagreed, but Mike gave up their win for the rice. Kalabaw headed out with a win and Tandang was told that their rice would be sent to tree mail.

Kalabaw arrived at their reward and were all excited about their win. They got cleaned up and had their picnic lunch. The tribe hoped that the lunch would be amazing. Jeff was worried about the rice situation in a few days. Penner brought over envelopes to the tribes as they got letters from home. Everyone was in tears as they read their letters to themselves. Denise thought that the letters from home were better than food.

Tandang returned with Artis a little disheartened because he could have won; even though he wasn't competing. Artis was convinced that Skupin was useless and RC was his cheerleader. RC pointed out that they doubled their rice, but it really left them with less than three days of food. Lisa thought the challenge was worse than a loss because it was a forfeit. RC tried to justify the whole thing as Malcolm also added a positive note; I wouldn't ruffle feathers if I was him. Abi was upset about the rice, but she should be happier that she hasn't competed at another challenge. RC discussed with Skupin about Artis' drama; they realized that Abi and Pete were also bitchy and could be an issue.

Kalabaw woke up to a beautiful morning; Carter pointed out that there was a stingray that hung out by the shore. Penner missed. Carter was still upset about no guarantee for food as Jonathan tried to catch fish. Carter started to complain about "the starving game" as they had to wait for Penner. He got two really small fish. Katie started to complain as Jeff pointed out that they needed to merge in a week. Jonathan hoped that they could gain some momentum at the immunity challenge.

The tribes arrived at their immunity challenge as Abi handed back the immunity idol. The challenge was a launch ball and catch with net game. It didn't matter what color ball they caught. Tandang sat out Skupin and Abi. Look! Abi hasn't competed in yet another challenge!

Lisa and Denise were the launchers as all the other members paired off. Penner scored for the first launch. Pete & RC caught a ball on the second launch. The third launch was a miss. Jeff got a point during the fourth, fifth, and sixth launch. Probst, for no reason, called Katie "ineffective" for her skills. Skupin told Lisa to aim for Malcolm and he connected with her shot. Following the next launch Jeff was distracted by Pete as Malcolm overpowered Carter. Jeff switched places with Carter just in case. Lisa decided to still aim for Malcolm as he still caught the ball against Jeff.

Kalabaw was upset as they realized that Lisa had a plan and went for it. Jeff knew that Carter was overpowered by Malcolm. Penner and Jeff were still working together, though Jeff had his doubts. Carter talked to Jeff about voting between Katie and Penner. Jeff thought that keeping a veteran around too long was detrimental to the game, but Carter decided to follow whatever Jeff did. Jeff considered "The Penner Punch." As Penner walked out Carter blurted out like an idiot that it should be a vote between Katie and Penner. He blurted that he meant Denise. Carter, you're stupid. Penner tried to suggest Katie as he told Katie to vote off Denise. Katie knew that was shady and she talked to Jeff about voting for Penner. Eventually Jeff and Carter knew that Jonathan would vote Katie and Katie for Jonathan. Denise was still perfectly fine. Penner confronted Carter and Jeff and tried to be positive. I don't understand why if they voted for him and he played the idol, Katie would go home either way.

The tribe arrived and Jeff asked the tribe who was the least comfortable. Denise knew was the new girl on the tribe as she tried to be useful. Katie knew that she was the weak link that didn't perform in challenges, but was loyal. Penner tried to claim having a poker face and wouldn't want to be negative. Jeff Kent claimed that every vote would be a blindside because they were all friends. The bickering continued about betrayal and Penner knew that he'd scramble. If everyone knew there was a blindside, how is it that one person wasn't aware?

As noted, Katie and Jonathan voted for each other. Penner didn't play the immunity idol as Jeff read the votes. They went with the easy vote and got rid of Katie.

Next Week: Lisa may be played, a twist forced tribes to make a run to grab their items.
