CBS swings the axe first; cancels Made in Jersey

Oct 10 2012 03:39 pm ET

After two poorly-rated airings, CBS cancelled the drama Made in Jersey on Wednesday. This is the first freshman series of the 2012-13 crop to get the boot.

The drama was about a female attorney from New Jersey who tries to make her mark in a New York law firm. Despite trying to cash in on the Jersey theme in reality casting, the show never found an audience. The pilot drew in only 7.82 million viewers and fewer than 7 million viewers the following week.

Repeats of NCIS will take over the Friday 9pm timeslot for the rest of October. Undercover Boss will return for its fourth season, taking over the timeslot November 2.

With the first cancellation of the season taken care of, expect to see other schedule modifications on other networks in the near future.
