Tonight's television is ALL-SINGING and ALL-DANCING! The CW has the television premiere of Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition begins, and TLC documents The Big Jig. Here's what's on TV Tuesday.
First up, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog makes its television debut tonight on The CW. Joss Whedon produced this project during the 2007 WGA strike, when it became an instant cult classic. Neil Patrick Harris stars as the lovestruck supervillain who recounts his attempts to thwart Captain Hammer (Nathan Fillion) through song. The special airs at 9pm.
Over on Lifetime, Abby Lee Miller transitions from screaming, judgmental teacher to screaming, judgmental judge in the new series Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition. 12 dancers will compete for a Joffrey Ballet School scholarship and $100,000 with new challenges every week. Meet the contestants at 8pm and see the first challenge at 9pm.
Finally, Irish dancing gets its own reality show in the new series The Big Jig. This series documents to training and audition process undertaken by children as they compete in the World Irish Dance Championships. Michael Flatley, who helped make Irish dancing the Next Big Thing with Riverdance, has a relative featured in the premiere. The show starts at 10pm on TLC.
