Premiere week continues with ABC, Fox and CBS introducing their Tuesday night slates. Fox has new comedies Ben and Kate and The Mindy Project, CBS has the new drama Vegas, and ABC returns to Private Practice. Here's what's on TV Tuesday.
Fox debuts its new Tuesday comedy block tonight, starting with the season premiere of New Girl at 8pm. At 8:30, Ben and Kate features a single mom dealing with her ambitious-but-misguided brother as her new roommate. After another episode of New Girl at 9pm is the premiere of the new Mindy Kaling project called The Mindy Project. Kaling plays an OB/GYN who just wants life to play out like the romantic comedies she obsessed over while growing up. I loved the pilot and strongly recommend it.
CBS continues its big premiere week with the return of NCIS at 8pm. After the season 10(!) premiere, NCIS: Los Angeles returns for its fourth season at 9pm. Then at 10pm is the debut of the new drama Vegas. A rancher in 1960s Nevada (played by Dennis Quaid) becomes the new sheriff in town. He quickly encounters his nemesis: a Chicago mobster and casino operator (played by Michael Chiklis). Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix, Memento) also stars.
The final big premiere of the evening takes place over at ABC. After the first elimination on Dancing With the Stars, Private Practice begins what is likely to be its final season. Catch up with the drama starting at 10pm.
