Emmys 2012: Louis C.K. wins for comedy writing; Julie Bowen wins Best Supporting Actress

Cable scored its first win of the evening with Louis C.K. scoring a writing win for his show Louie. Julie Bowen won her second Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy award for her work on Modern Family.

Louis C.K. scored his second Emmy win (out of 16 tries) for Best Writing for a Comedy Series. The episode "Pregnant" opened the second season of Louie last summer and featured a visit from Louie's pregnant sister.

Julie Bowen won her second Emmy for her work as Claire Dunphy on Modern Family. This is her second consecutive win in the category.
