Thursday TV: NBC Comedies, Tamar & Vince, Prom Queens, Braxton Family Values

Tonight's television features Up All Night, some SNL, The Office, Parks and Recreation, the introduction of Tamar & Vince, some Prom Queens, and the season finale of Braxton Family Values. Here's what's on TV Thursday.
The big items tonight are the return of NBC's Thursday night comedies. At 8pm, Saturday Night Live goes into political mode with the first of several Election Year specials. Sophomore comedy Up All Night moves to the 8:30pm slot. The Office begins its final season at 9pm. Parks and Recreation takes a trip to Washington, DC in its fifth-season premiere at 9:30pm.
weTV does some torch-passing in its reality lineup. At 9pm, Braxton Family Values wraps up its season with a chaotic family vacation in St. Lucia. Following at 10pm is the series debut of Tamar & Vince. Vince Herbert is a music producer and his wife Tamar wants to be a hit singer. I guess that's how the music industry works?
Finally, Lifetime has a new reality series to fill the void between a new episode of Project Runway and a repeat of that same episode. Prom Queens is a series that travels to different high schools to scope out the sought-after title. It's a little strange to focus on prom during Homecoming season, but I guess the production schedule plus coupling with a strong lead-in is what's dictating the schedule. Back-to-back episodes debut at 10:30pm.
