Big Brother 14 Sunday September 16 Episode Recap: Fool Me Three Times, I'm a Dumbass

Sep 16 2012 09:40 pm ET

On Sunday's Big Brother 14, we see the fallout from Shane's blindside. Ian handles it with some meditative quacking while Danielle tears into Dan about his gameplay. After a clip show, the Final Three start the first part of the Final Head of Household competition.

Previously on Big Brother 14: The Quack Pack (ugh) survived to the Final Four, booting Jenn in a surprise Wednesday eviction. Danielle won Head of Household, basically an Immunity Necklace. Dan suggested she put him and Ian up for eviction to lull Shane into a false sense of security (he didn't tell her that last part). Danielle won the real power this week – the Power of Veto. Dan asked her to use the Veto on him so the blood will be on his hands for cutting Ian's throat. She makes Dan promise to protect Shane. Then Dan does the exact opposite and the face Danielle makes is my current Twitter avatar. It. Was. AWESOME.

Although the show does the eviction recap in black and white in every Sunday episode, this week's was particularly enjoyable because we got to see Danielle make her face in slow-mo. In the Diary Room, Danielle is inconsolable. That must have been fun for the interviewer. Before we learn it is Day 69, we get the subtitles for what Dan whispered to Shane: "Dude, she's been playing you the whole time, ask Jenn."

Dan pulls Danielle into the Arcade so they can debrief. "Why do you continuously lie to me?" Danielle screams at her coach. Dan says Shane would have beaten Danielle in the Final Two. I'm not so sure that would be the case, but there's no point in arguing it now. Dan apologizes and says he couldn't tell Danielle so she would have plausible deniability when the jury asks about all of Dan's shenanigans. This line of reasoning doesn't completely win her over, but Dan says Danielle is going to win this game no matter what. "I feel so bad," Danielle sobs. "That's why we make a good team," he replies, "I don't." Dang. In the DR, Danielle summarizes her thoughts on the debriefing. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times, I'm a dumbass."

Meanwhile, Ian is in the beginning stages of an anxiety attack over what happened at the eviction. He's pacing through the rooms, quacking to himself.

Back in the arcade, Danielle marvels at Dan's expert lying abilities. Dan is all like "yeah, neat, huh?" He then promises no more antics and Danielle laughs, knowing there's no way that is possibly true. There's plenty of mist still in the House. She recalls back on night one how she begged to be on Dan's team. "Be careful what you wish for, right?" she says.

This segues into the clip show portion of the evening. We see the origins of the Quack Pack (ugh), the introduction of the coaches, Janelle's sociopathy, Mike reading the Bible, Britney beating up Frank's teddy bear, Willie getting expelled (we still don't see him throw pork rinds at Janelle), Shane and Danielle's canoodling, Ian and Ashley's awkwardness, and Ian and Frank's fight. Ah, memories. They closed the clip show portion with Dan's Funeral and Danielle's other epic face. Nice bookends, episode. Danielle says the Funeral was not a fond memory of hers. HA!

The episode ends with the beginning of Part One of the Head of Household competition. Each Houseguest has to hang on to a rope made to look like a fishing line and lure. The line swings back and forth across the yard, dunking the players in a pool at one end and slamming them into a wall at the other end. Rain and lightning are added to the competition, making for what should be an unpleasant evening.

However, we won't find out the results (unless you go to the umpteen Big Brother forums out there) until the Finale on Wednesday night. The winner of this competition will face the winner of Part Two in the Final Head of Household. The winner of that will decided who will join him or her in the Final Two. The Jury will ask questions, cast votes, and name the winner of the season. The show starts at 9:30pm. See you there!
