There are big events on TV all day Tuesday. Kelly Ripa introduces her new cohost, The Price is Right turns 40, Beverly Hills Nannies finishes the season while Flipping Out begins a new one, and the Democrats invade Charlotte. Here's what's on TV Tuesday.
Starting early this morning is the 25th season premiere of Live! with Kelly. Kelly Ripa will officially announce who her new co-host will be. Reports came out a couple week's ago that former New York Giants defensive end Michael Strahan will be sitting in the chair vacated by Regis Philbin last year. Find out at 9am Eastern (check your local listings for station).
Also airing this morning is the 40th(!) season premiere of The Price is Right. Joining Drew Carey on stage today will be memorable contestants from the past 40 years playing some of the most popular games. If I had to guess which six games would be played, I would guess Plinko, Punch-a-Bunch, Hole in One, Golden Road, Clock Game, and One Right Price. Join the celebration at CBS (check your local listings for time).
On ABC Family, Beverly Hills Nannies wraps up its first successful season. Maggie may have a drinking problem, a baptism goes awry, and two nannies' bickering causes a rift. Watch what happens at 9pm.
Over on Bravo, Flipping Out returns for a sixth season. Jeff and Gage can't agree on how to set up their dream home, so Jeff goes ahead and buys a house anyway. Also, we get to meet Jenni's fiancé. Catch the drama at 9pm.
Finally, the Democratic National Convention kicks off its week in Charlotte, NC. Tonight's speakers include First Lady Michelle Obama and the mayor of San Antonio Julian Castro. Primetime coverage on PBS and the cable news networks begins at 8pm. Coverage on the main networks will begin at 10pm.
