Sunday TV: True Blood, The Newsroom, The Great Escape, Episodes season finales

Summer is winding to a close, which means that summer series are beginning to air their season finales. Wrapping up tonight are HBO's True Blood and The Newsroom, Showtime's Episodes, and TNT's The Great Escape. Here's what's on TV Sunday.
First up, HBO's True Blood finishes its fifth season at 9pm. The Authority's power expands while Eric, Sam and Luna try to reverse that course. Bill's on the verge of losing his humanity, and Alcide and JD have another conflict. Then at 10pm, The Newsroom closes out its freshman year. What will the television watchers on Twitter hate-watch until Smash returns?
On TNT, the reality game show The Great Escape closes up shop at 10pm. The final challenge takes a page from Die Hard as the three teams have to escape an office tower in Los Angeles. I'm expecting about 99% less violence, but perhaps one of the guards will channel Hans Gruber.
Finally, Showtime's comedy-about-a-television-comedy Episodes concludes its sophomore season. Merc learns Jamie had an affair with Matt, giving him the opportunity to shack up with Carol. Meanwhile, there's an awards dinner where Sean, Beverly, and Beverly's date (oops) are in attendance. The episode of Episodes airs at 10:30pm.
