Tonight's television features a celebration for social activists at the Do Something Awards, the return of special effects makeup competition Face Off, and the season finale of What Not to Wear. Here's what's on TV Tuesday.

First up, VH1 will air the annual Do Something Awards at 9pm. Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield and Lamorne Morris are the hosts for the event which celebrates community service projects and social activism. Will Ferrell and Kristen Bell are among the presenters while Flo Rida, Fun and Kids These Days will offer performances.

Over on SyFy you can catch the third-season premiere of Face Off. On tonight's 90-minute episode, the new patch of makeup artists will be tasked with creating original characters for the Cantina scene from the original Star Wars film. The debut airs at 9pm.

Finally, TLC ends another season of shaming the sartorially-challenged on What Not To Wear. Tonight's victim client thinks she needs a style makeover to reach the next step in her career. See how season nine wraps up at 10pm.
