HBO offers first episode of The Newsroom on YouTube

HBO announced Monday that it will offer the first episode of its new drama The Newsroom on YouTube.
HBO is likely looking at this offering of Aaron Sorkin's new show as a way to attract new subscribers to the premium network. However, the show has received mixed reviews from critics, many who cite problems consistent within the writer's catalog of work: poorly drawn female characters, uber-liberal sanctimony, and a healthy aversion to new media.
Further complicating the rocky start to the series was this interview from The Globe and Mail, where Sorkin condescends to interviewer Sarah Nicole Prickett before critiquing her high five technique (that really happened).
The Newsroom airs on HBO Sunday nights at 10pm. You can catch up with the first episode here on YouTube.
