Ann Curry may have limited future on Today

"Good morning, good morning, everybody, and in the news this morning, good morning": reports have been circulating that Ann Curry may soon be replaced as co-host of The Today Show on NBC.
The morning news and chat show has seen declining ratings since Curry joined Matt Lauer as co-host of The Today Show last year. ABC's Good Morning America has closed the gap in the ratings, winning the morning news battle a few times in the last several weeks.
According to the New York Times, negotiations are underway to find a new role for Curry on the program and not firing her outright. The report also discusses the lack of on-screen chemistry between Lauer and Curry contributing to the morning show's woes.
The transition, however it takes shape, is expected to be completed before NBC begins its Summer Olympics coverage later next month.
