Renewals: Bill Maher, The Lying Game, Keeping Up With the Kardashians

Three cable shows received renewal notices Tuesday. HBO will bring back Real Time With Bill Maher for two more years, ABC Family will continue to play The Lying Game, and E! has ponied up major moolah for the Kardashians.

HBO announced Tuesday it has renewed its Friday night talk show Real Time With Bill Maher for two more seasons. According to, the show will remain on the air until at least 2014. The show currently averages over 4 million viewers per episode.

ABC Family renewed its freshman drama The Lying Game. The Hollywood Reporter says the show scored well with the cable network's young women target demo and saw a boost in viewership when partnered with Pretty Little Liars. The Lying Game will go into production this summer and is slated for a winter premiere.

Finally, TMZ reported Tuesday that the Kardashians have signed on for three more seasons of their E! television show.The deal is the largest in the history of reality television, netting over $40 million. The seventh season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians begins May 20.
