CBS announced Wednesday it has renewed 18 of its primetime series for next season. Four comedies, nine dramas, three reality series and two news programs have received the green light for next year.
CBS is the first of the major networks to announce significant renewal plans in preparation for the annual upfronts in May. How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory were already cleared thanks to separate multi-year renewal packages and Survivor is ready to go into production for seasons 25 and 26.
Here's the list:
Monday: Comedies 2 Broke Girls and Mike & Molly will be back with HIMYM. Two and a Half Men is still negotiating with Ashton Kutcher, so the show's status is still up in the air. Hawaii Five-0 will be returning as well.
Tuesday: Both NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles will be returning. Rookie drama Unforgettable is still on the bubble.
Wednesday: The entire slate has been picked up, which includes Survivor, Criminal Minds and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
Thursday: Most of the Thursday block will return, including Big Bang, new drama Person of Interest and The Mentalist.
Friday: Blue Bloods has been picked up for a third season. Reality series Undercover Boss will also return for another season.
Saturday: 48 Hours Mystery, one of the only regularly scheduled programs on Saturday nights, will continue to air for another season.
Sunday: Long-running 60 Minutes will keep ticking, as will The Amazing Race and the critically-acclaimed The Good Wife.
Assuming Two and a Half Men gets renewed, CBS has very few holes to fill in its schedule, though expect mid-season shuffling to be a major factor in the network's development plans.
