Tuesday TV: Texas Multi Mamas, Kennedy Center Honors, Extreme Couponing All-Stars
Dec 27 2011 10:29 am ET

Reality television does not take a holiday this week as two series – Texas Multi Mamas and Extreme Couponing All-Stars – premiere. Tonight also features the Kennedy Center Honors presentation. Here's what's on TV Tuesday.

First up, WEtv plays reality show bingo. The premise: Families with multiple births. The setting: 2011 hot-spot Texas. The result: Texas Multi Mamas, a show about a support group for mothers with lots of kids. Back-to-back episodes open the series at 8pm.

Tonight's banner event is the 34th annual Kennedy Center Honors. This year's honorees include Broadway actress Barbara Cook, singer and songwriter Neil Diamond, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, jazz saxophonist Sonny Rollins, and legendary actress Meryl Streep. The special airs at 9pm on CBS.

Finally, TLC turns bargain hunting into a competition with the new series Extreme Couponing All-Stars. This half-hour series pits two former extreme couponers against each other to see who can purchase the most merchandise with $500. Don't worry, the purchases go to charity, so some lucky recipient will get a lifetime supply of mustard. Back-to-back episodes begin at 10pm.
