It's December 1, so it is safe to go into full on holiday mode. TLC and Discovery have new shows reminding us about celebrating responsibly while ABC goes the traditional route with holiday-themed specials. Here's what's on TV Thursday.
TLC reminds us during the holiday season to drink responsibly with its new show DUI. This half-hour reality series focuses on drivers in Oklahoma who are pulled over for suspected driving under the influence. You can pass judgment with two episodes beginning at 9pm.
If your preferred televised narcotic is marijuana, you may want to check out Discovery's new series Weed Wars. Tonight's premiere episode features the tax battle between the world's largest legal dispensary and the state of California over a proposed tax increase. The show will simulcast on Discovery and Discovery Fit and Health at 10pm.
On the holiday front, ABC opens the night with the claymation special Santa Claus is Comin' to Town at 8pm. At 9pm, Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland hosts CMA Country Christmas. This year's guests include Vince Gill, Rascal Flatts, Faith Hill and Martina McBride.
