Television is jam-packed tonight with sports, series debuts, season premieres, a new documentary and Kim Kardashian's wedding. Here's what's on TV Monday.
First up, the family of Discovery networks will simulcast the debut of Oprah's Lifeclass. This show features Oprah Winfrey using excerpts from her former talk show to speak about larger life lessons. Tonight's debut will draw on the famous clip of Oprah pulling that wagon of fat onto the stage. You can catch the show at 8pm on Discovery Fitness and Health, TLC and OWN.
Tonight's game on Monday Night Football features the Chicago Bears and the...Detroit Lions? What?! This will be the first time the Lions (currently undefeated) played on a Monday in 10 years. The game starts at 8:30pm on ESPN.
Over on Lifetime you can catch the premiere of the film anthology Five. This collection of short films, featuring Rosario Dawson, Ginnifer Goodwin and Jeanne Tripplehorn, examines the lives of women affected by breast cancer. The first airing is at 9pm.
On HBO, there are two premieres tonight. At 9pm is the third-season premiere of Bored to Death. Following at 9:30pm is the new Laura Dern series Enlightened. Dern plays an executive who has a nervous breakdown, goes on a mental health retreat, and tries to reinvent her life...with mixed results.
Keeping Up With the Kardashians features the second half of the big Kardashian/Humphries nuptials. The two-hour event is likely to be a huge ratings draw for E! You can add to that audience total by tuning in at 9pm.
If you want to watch the polar opposite of Kim's wedding, you can catch The War of 1812 on PBS. Along with the main war with England, this special will detail the political strife at home, including boundary lines and the fate of the Native American population. The show should air at 9pm on most PBS stations, but check your local listings.
Finally, Discovery has a new reality series highlighting the owners of a firearms facility. American Guns debuts at 10pm.
