Thursday Ratings: Expedition Impossible gives ABC the win; SYTYCD keeps slipping

Wipeout broke out of its slump, kicking off a night that allowed ABC to win in the ratings. The debut of Expedition Impossible was modest, but big enough to win in 18-49. So You Think You Can Dance continued its ratings slide, though Fox held on to second place.
ABC's night began with the official summer premiere of Wipeout, which scored 2.3 with 7.47 million viewers. The debut of Expedition Impossible was the top-rated show of the evening, scoring 2.4 with over 7 million viewers. Rookie Blue returned with a score of 1.6 and 5.88 million viewers.
Fox took second place. The results show of So You Think You Can Dance hit a new season low of 1.9 (-0.3) with 6.325 million watching.
CBS landed in third place with a full slate of repeats. The Mentalist encore was the most watched program of the night with 8.01 million viewers. Univision finished fourth while NBC was in a distant fifth. Love Bites dipped to 0.8 (-0.2) and fewer than 2 million viewers.
