Friday TV: Smallville, Who Do You Think You Are, CMT's Next Superstar

It's the beginning of the end for Smallville, so the CW goes all the way back to the beginning with a re-airing of the pilot. Who Do You Think You Are? finishes its second season. CMT's Next Superstar is the latest cable-based talent competition. Here's what's on TV Friday.
With the last hiatus of the season wrapping up, that means we are approaching the final episodes of Smallville. As a special treat, the CW will replay the very first episode tonight at 8pm. A lot has changed in ten years.
On NBC, Ashley Judd is the last celebrity to explore her family tree this season on Who Do You Think You Are? She backtracks to her paternal grandmother, a Union Army officer, and one of America's settlers. The show begins at 8pm.
Finally, CMT launches the newest talent contest CMT's Next Superstar. In this contest, five men and five women try to win a chance at country-music stardom in a challenge-based competition. This week's challenge: turn a non-country hit into a country song. The show debuts at 9pm.
