Tuesday Ratings: CBS wins with NCIS series high; Detroit 1-8-7 goes lower

With no new 'Glee' or 'American Idol' standing in its way, 'NCIS' marched over the competition Tuesday night and hit series highs. Meanwhile, ABC's lineup hit season lows across the board, with 'Detroit 1-8-7' practically guaranteed cancellation.
CBS started the domination early. 'NCIS' scored a 4.5 with a series high of just under 22 million viewers. The show typically scores around a 4.0 with a previous audience season-high of 20.18 million viewers. 'NCIS: Los Angeles' scored a 3.7, the show's strongest performance since mid-October. 'The Good Wife' finished the night winning the late hour with a 2.3.
NBC landed in second place. 'The Biggest Loser' had a slight dip from last week, averaging a 3.2 (-0.1) while the audience stayed constant. 'Parenthood' had a similar evening, dipping to 2.2 (-0.1).
Fox finished third, starting the night with a 'Glee' repeat followed by a new episode of 'Million Dollar Money Drop'. The game show improved over last week's episode, scoring a 1.8 and a boost in audience to 5.13 million.
ABC ended up in fourth despite having a full lineup of new shows. 'No Ordinary Family' plummeted to a 1.5 (-0.4), 'V' slipped to 1.9 (-0.2), and 'Detroit 1-8-7' sunk to a new series low of 1.1 (-0.1) despite no change in audience.
