Friday TV: Christmas Story, Hawaii Bowl, It's a Wonderful Life, The Soup
Dec 24 2010 10:50 am CET
Merry Christmas Eve! Or, for those not participating, happy Friday! There is some good television, both holiday and non-holiday related, to start off your weekend. We've got marathons, movies, college football, and The Soup's clipdown.
Here are some TV show marathons happening today:
•House Hunters International - HGTV - 9pm - 3am
•Who the (Bleep) Did I Marry? - Discovery Investigation - 5pm - 2am
•Law & Order: Criminal Intent - Oxygen - 6pm - 2am
Speaking of marathons, at 8pm, the annual 24-hour marathon of A Christmas Story begins on TBS. I actually haven't seen this movie since TNT and TBS started doing this marathon as I felt that it made the movie less special to play it 12 times in a row. I may have to revisit it -- I'll have the opportunity at least.
Also at 8pm on NBC you can catch another airing of the other Christmas classic It's a Wonderful Life. Is it Frank Capra? Is it? (Spoiler: It is.)
If you'd rather not watch a movie, Tulsa will play Hawaii in this year's Hawaii Bowl. Hawaii leads the series match-up 5-3 and has a slightly better record than Tulsa this season. Both teams are strong on offense, so it should be a good game. The game starts at 8pm on ESPN.
Finally, part one of The Soup's annual Clipdown airs tonight. These specials are nice little reality television time capsules -- I have the last three years worth of clipdowns still saved on my DVR. See if your favorite clips made the cut at 10pm on E!
