Big Brother 12 Week 7 Double Eviction Recap

Thursday’s Big Brother featured the annual Big Brother Fast Forward. The hour started off with the live vote to evict either Matt or Enzo followed by a full week of gameplay and ending with a second eviction. Which five houseguests are still in the game?
After the previouslies, we see that it is Day 52 in the house. Britney apologizes to Ragan for nominating his friend, but he is too busy contemplating how his friend could throw him under the bus. Matt tries to talk to Ragan, but he is not receptive at the moment. Matt decides to talk to Britney instead to figure out why Ragan is so upset. She plays dumb, but that causes Matt to realize that she must have told Ragan that he tried to sell Ragan down the river.
Later on Matt decides to try the “play dumb” technique when talking with Ragan. This gets Ragan’s gears to start turning, so he speaks with the other Houseguests and tells them that he was not trying to do any hardcore campaigning to save Matt last week. Enzo and Hayden tell Ragan that they were planning on using Kathy as a swing vote to decide who goes home. Ragan chews on this and realizes that if they were planning on splitting the vote, they must have some sort of arrangement. Ragan figures out that Hayden, Enzo, Lane and Matt must be in an alliance.
Ragan reveals his findings to Matt. Matt doesn’t panic, but he knows that his alliance could be in big trouble – and this might provide him some leverage to stay in the house. Matt talks to Hayden and Lane, but all he seems to do is convince them that Ragan knows too much and needs to go.
It’s all Real Time from here on in. Julie tells the Houseguests that this evening will be a double eviction extravaganza. She jumps right into nominee speeches. Both Enzo and Matt use their time for shoutouts, but sums it up best as “a choice between the penguin and the gremlin.” Votes are cast and they are all for Matt. He seems pretty good-natured about his eviction.
During his interview, Matt says he knew Ragan wasn’t going to vote for him because they talked it out ahead of time. He regrets throwing the last HoH competition but he wanted to play in the upcoming HoH contest. Matt acknowledges that the Diamond POV revealed that he was low man on the Brigade pole. All in all, Matt had a blast in the house and doesn’t seem all that upset that he lost.
The HoH Competition is called “Delivering the Goods.” Julie will ask one question that has two houseguests as an answer. The players will have to find the two cards with those houseguests’ names in a pool of packing peanuts. The first player to come up with the answer wins. The question: Which two Houseguests have held HoH twice? Hayden is the first to find both Matt and Rachel’s cards so he is the new Head of Household.
After the commercials, we see some strategizing and scrambling. It looks like Brendon is joining in on a quick Brigade conference. Julie summons the Houseguests to the living room and asks Hayden for his nominations. He selects Brendon and Ragan. Ragan feigns indignation. More commercials.
The Veto Competition is called “Before or After”. Julie will give two events and the Houseguests have to guess if the second event was before or after the first. If you are wrong, you are out: last man standing wins. Everyone gets the first two correct. Enzo guessed that the Zingbot was after Matt calling Brendon a “big dummy” and is out. Brendon thought Rachel won $5,000 in the Pinball Wizard veto challenge before telling her nominees to “bring it on” so he was out. Everyone but Britney knew that the second saboteur made his debut before Jeff and Jordan paid a visit, meaning Britney is out. Ragan was the only remaining player to remember that Julie granted the house a break from slop before Rachel’s “life vest” comment, which means that Ragan wins the Veto.
After even more ads, we see Britney talking to everyone and guaranteeing their votes. Julie summons the house for the Veto meeting. Unsurprisingly, Ragan pulls himself off the block and Hayden fills the vacancy with Britney. MORE ADS.
Britney’s pre-vote speech includes shoutouts, “I love you’s” and guarantees of Facebook-stalking. Brendon calls the house a dysfunctional family of love. Everyone votes for Brendon’s eviction. After he receives the news, Brendon hugs everyone and seems cordial. Outside the house, Brendon tells Julie that he was not shocked to be evicted, but he seems to be caught up in the whirlwind of tonight’s events. He sums up the house as a “nice version of prison.” Just wait till you get to the Jury House.
Britney, Enzo, Hayden, Lane and Ragan are left in the house. On Sunday, a new Head of Household will be crowned and two Houseguests will go on the block.
