Bret Michaels is out of the running to be Simon Cowell’s replacement on ‘American Idol’. The Hollywood Reporter revealed on Tuesday that Chris Isaak has been floated as a possible contender for the judging gig.

Isaak is best known for the 1989 song “Wicked Game”, a track that has appeared on ‘Idol’ a number of times -- most recently when Siobhan Magnus performed it during the Top 24 Semi-Final Round.

Chris Isaak joins Harry Connick Jr. and surprise candidate Donald Trump as the search for Cowell’s replacement continues.

Auditions for Season 10 began last week in Nashville. A decision about Cowell’s replacement is expected before the end of the audition phase.
