Fans of potential natural disasters will be glad to read that Syfy has given the go-ahead for 'Super Eruption'.

The new tv-movie will center on a super volcano that erupts in Yellowstone Park, a topic that has always done well for documentary networks in recent years.

Richard Burgi of Desperate Housewives will star as a firefighter while Juliet Aubrey (Primeval) is set to feature as a volcanologist.

Syfy attracted Matt Codd to direct the film, which is currently under production in Bulgaria.
